It is conveniently close to the railway station and the main attractions, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are well-appointed and larger than the usual sizes in Japan, ensuring a comfortable stay. Additionally, the hotel offers a complimentary light breakfast and a lounge that provides small snacks for guests in the morning.

The communication with the hotel staff was difficult and frustrating due to the language barrier.

The General Kyoto Takatsuji Fuyacho is a lovely hotel with a modern and beautiful decor. The location is perfect, being central yet away from the city noise. The 5-6 minute walk to Shijo Dori is very convenient. The hotel is new and sparkling clean, with a beautiful garden in the lobby. The shower is also wonderful. The complimentary breakfast, though light, is enough to get your day going. Throughout the day, beverages are available and they even offer red and white wine in the afternoon. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants and shops. I loved the minimalist design and the modern feel of the place. the tea in the room and the comfy towels were a nice touch. the waterfall shower was invigorating and the small snacks in the lounge in the morning were very thoughtful.

The room we stayed in had a frosted window which made the room feel darker and less open. I would have preferred to have a view of a building.
