We absolutely loved our stay at this ryokan. The staff were incredibly friendly and the service was impeccable. The room was spacious and had a private bath, which was a great convenience for us as guests with disabilities. The onsen was of high quality and very relaxing. The food offered was delicious and the staff, particularly Naomi, were extremely helpful in explaining the meals and creating a great experience for us. The location was fantastic, with many temples and shrines within easy walking distance. a wonderful experience for a great ryokan stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Gion Hatanaka. the facilities were outstanding with great attention to detail, especially the onsen. the staff were welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. We opted for the breakfast, which was delicious and filling. the highlight of our stay was the special dinner with Geisha entertainment. It was not touristy at all and the meikos were sweet and informative. the next day, we enjoyed having dinner and breakfast in our room, served by our personal attendant Fuki. the location was perfect and overall, it was a wonderful taste of traditional Japan.

Pick-up shuttles or meet and greet services at the entrance are not available, which may be inconvenient for some guests.
