I recently stayed at a lovely hotel in Kyoto called Gion Ryokan Q-Beh. It was a great choice for my budget solo travel. The location was excellent, with easy access to Gion and nearby temples. I loved the traditional Japanese feel of the hotel, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even had a fun coupon system for completing tasks. The rooms were clean, cozy, and offered more space than typical guesthouses. I especially enjoyed the bath, although reservations were required. I would highly recommend this hotel to other budget solo travelers seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Kyoto.

Our room at Gion Ryokan Q-Beh was spacious and clean, with comfortable traditional floor beds. The location was ideal, within walking distance of all the main attractions. We were pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. we had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back.

Drawbacks: The shower had a frustrating short timer, which was inconvenient when showering our kids. Also, the walls were quite thin, so we could hear noise from the rooms above us.

I recently stayed at a ryokan in Kyoto and had a wonderful experience at Gion Ryokan Q-Beh. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The location was perfect, within walking distance to many amazing temples and a grocery shop. The common room had a lovely atmosphere with tatamis, providing a calm space for unwinding. The AC worked well, and there were Japanese newspapers and an English version available.
