Gokayama Base offers a beautiful, nicely appointed stay near Ainokura Gassho-zukuri village. the house is thoughtfully designed, spotlessly clean, and cozy, with spacious rooms and wonderful shower facilities. the kitchen is well-equipped, and the common areas are great for socializing. the owner is incredibly hospitable, providing useful tips and even offering a lift to guests in need. Convenient location near world heritage sites, supermarket, and bus stop.

The property had a charming traditional Japanese design with a cozy communal kitchen and living area. the host was very friendly and offered useful advice on restaurants, transportation, and sightseeing. the guesthouse was impeccably clean, with beautiful wooden interiors and comfortable beds. the location was peaceful, near a historical village and easily accessible by bus.

The lack of insulation in the traditional building made the rooms chilly once the AC was turned off. the stairs were steep and narrow, which could be a challenge for some guests.
