I had a fantastic stay at Guest House Zen-Ji for two nights while exploring the temples and shrines nearby. The rooms were spotless and the beds were incredibly comfortable, offering a great night's sleep. The hostel's location near the beach was perfect, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The welcoming hosts, a mother and son, made me feel at home and even organized a Zazen session in the morning, which was a unique experience. They also recommended a calligraphy class nearby, allowing me to immerse myself in Japanese culture. a wonderful stay!

Located close to the beach but not in the busy downtown area, the hostel provided a quiet and peaceful environment for resting and sleeping. the owner was very friendly and, if you could speak a little Japanese, you could enjoy engaging conversations with him. He also had sufficient English skills to assist non-Japanese speakers. it was a great place to stay and I would definitely choose it again if I return to Kamakura.
