I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse in Hakone. The room was comfortable and the onsen bath was truly amazing. The homemade breakfast served here was delicious. The communal bar area with its charming wood finish was a great place to relax. The staff provided excellent service and were always helpful in offering directions and suggestions for places of interest. The location of this guesthouse was convenient, with easy access by bus or local train. If you're coming with luggage, I recommend taking the train and getting off at the Kowakidani station, as it's all downhill from there.

I had a great experience at Guesthouse Toi. the owners were friendly and accommodating, providing a thorough explanation of the facilities upon check-in. the house itself was charming and well-maintained. the owners went above and beyond by inviting guests to a homemade BBQ, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow travelers. the location was convenient, with a 7/11 within a 10-minute walk and easy access to public transportation.

We had an incredible stay at a cozy cabin-style guesthouse surrounded by breathtaking mountains and trees. the rustic atmosphere created a warm and inviting feeling, like being at home. the traditional Japanese futons made for a comfortable night's sleep, and the private onsen was a luxurious treat that we enjoyed every day. the friendly owners made our experience even better, providing helpful tips and creating a welcoming environment. We can't wait to come back to this amazing place!

Had a cozy Christmas stay! The hostel was conveniently located near a bus stop and within walking distance of the train station. A bar/cafe was available in the evenings and breakfast was offered for a small fee. The futons were really comfortable, and the toilets were clean. Plus, the staff was super friendly and provided great recommendations for the area.

The hostel was a bit difficult to access due to the reduced frequency of public transportation in the area and its location on a hill. , there was only one toilet and two bathrooms for the entire compound, so there was some waiting time.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, treating us like friends instead of guests. They provided great recommendations for places to visit in the area and even lent us a charger when we needed one. The location of the guesthouse was breathtaking, with stunning views right outside the door. The interior was beautifully designed with fresh wooden decor, creating a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The dorms were traditional Japanese style and very comfortable. The in-house mineral bath was a lovely bonus, especially on chilly days. The bar area was a great place to meet other travelers and the breakfast offered was delicious.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.
