We stayed at Kowakien for a relaxing two-night getaway. the breathtaking mountain views, traditional yukata attire, and private onsen on the balcony were highlights. the diverse breakfast buffet was a real treat, and the staff's warm hospitality made our honeymoon even more special. The free shuttle from Gora station, foot onsen overlooking the mountains, and garden illumination were all delightful surprises. Cons: Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The spacious rooms feature private onsens with stunning views. Staff are multilingual and offer excellent service. Sixth-floor public onsen overlooks mountains, ideal for sunrise views. Buffet breakfast offers diverse Western and Japanese options. Relaxing lobby lounge provides complimentary tea and coffee.

The lounge serves a heavenly cocktail, and the LED light show at reception is like a daily rave. I swapped my clothes for a yukata in no time. Pressing a button fills the bath with onsen water - talk about luxury!

Getting lost in the labyrinth of family blocks was a delightful experience.

the property boasts exclusive spa treatments featuring high, quality Japanese products like Shiseido, and each room comes with a private ceramic Japanese, style hot spring bath on the balcony. the onsen facilities were exceptional, offering beautiful views and a serene atmosphere. the hotel's well, maintained landscaping and beautiful onsen facility truly enhanced my stay. Evening meal was poor considering price. the location up in the mountains of Hakone was fantastic, giving easy access to tourist spots and offering some of the fanciest facilities and onsen experiences I've encountered. the room was sensational with a private onsen facing the mountains, and the customer service was exceptional. the property's stunning design, comfortable amenities, and beautiful onsen truly made it a memorable and relaxing stay.

OMG, this place is top, notch in every possible way! the rooms are massive and come with private onsen baths on the balcony, and the kaiseki dinner is positively mouth, watering with unlimited refills! the staff is like sunshine. Only qualm was being told we could only borrow 4 umbrellas for our large group in pouring rain , they could definitely be more generous with those! 🌟.

the traditional Japanese room was cozy, the restaurant fantastic, and the private onsen with a view breathtaking. the staff, especially Mr Yoshikawa, was friendly. Only minor inconveniences with transport directions and dining options, but the overall experience was superb.

Pros In my stay at Kowakien, I enjoyed the exquisite dinner buffet with a blend of Japanese and Western dishes. the outdoor onsen in the room was truly relaxing. I will definitely return. the walk to the hotel from the bus stop was a bit long but worth it. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
