Hakone Kyuan in Hakone offered an incredible, boutique ryokan experience. the onsen in my room with mountain views was a true luxury. the kaiseki meals were exceptional, and the staff's hospitality was unmatched. Only minor road noise occasionally, but overall, a perfect R&R retreat.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this luxurious and comfortable 4-star hotel! Located by the beautiful Ashi lake and nestled on a hill, the views from this place were breathtaking. The staff were beyond lovely and went out of their way to provide exceptional service. The free shuttle service was a great convenience, and having a Mercedes waiting for me at the station made me feel like a VIP. The room amenities were top-notch, with everything from a balcony to a private hot spring attached to the bathroom. The traditional Japanese meals included in the room fee were a delight, showcasing the delicious flavors of the region. my experience here was truly memorable and I can't wait to come back!

It is also in proximity to the Hakone Open-Air Museum, perfect for art enthusiasts. Additionally, the Souzan station is nearby, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and a traditional style décor. The bathrooms are equipped with all necessary toiletries, and the staff provides excellent service throughout the stay. The breakfast is a delightful experience, with a wide selection of delicious Japanese delicacies.

The only drawback is the excessive amount of food served during dinner, which may be overwhelming for some guests.

During our Christmas vacation, we had a wonderful experience at a Japanese style hotel nestled in the mountainside of a quaint town. the room was beautifully appointed with traditional Japanese decor, tatami beds, and bamboo mats. the hotel offered free shuttle service to nearby tourist attractions and the staff was attentive and accommodating. the private hot spring attached to our bathroom was a definite highlight and provided a stunning view of the mountains.

The transportation to the hotel, which required taking a bus or train and then calling for a pickup. we did not have much interaction with the outside community due to the remote location.
