I always return to the place where I first stayed. They helped me with my heavy bags. It suits me perfectly - Wi-Fi, security, laundry, kettle, VIP check-in/out. No pets, AC, no smoking. I'm coming back for Christmas.

Pros During my stay, I was pleasantly surprised when the host upgraded my room to the first level without me even asking. the convenient hot and cold water dispenser was a nice touch and the location near Kiyomizudera was perfect for exploring. I also felt welcomed by the friendly owners. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Hanakiya in Kyoto is a charming ryokan in a cute neighborhood near Gion. the traditional Tatami and futon furniture creates an exquisite Japanese atmosphere. the kind and helpful hosts ensure a memorable stay. Shared bathrooms are well-maintained and rarely crowded due to the small number of rooms.
