Hotel Mondonce Kyoto Gojo offered us a fantastic base during our trip. Our spacious apartment felt like a home away from home, complete with a kitchenette that made it easy to whip up family meals. The nearby supermarket proved invaluable for last-minute snacks, and we loved walking the charming side streets. With accessible transportation options, we effortlessly explored Kyoto's famous sights.

One thing to keep in mind, the morning sun can be a bit too bright if you're not an early riser, as the windows could use better curtains. The beds felt a tad firm for some, but we found them comfortable enough. Planning your luggage route from Kyoto Station to the hotel is helpful—there are elevators, but Google Maps is your best friend here.

The beds were quite firm. it took some getting used to, and I even requested extra blankets to soften them up a bit. The desk's location was awkward, making it a hassle to plug in electronics, and there were no basic cooking supplies like salt, pepper, or oil, which would have been helpful. While there are two decent subway stops nearby, a lack of food options close to the hotel meant having to plan meals around what was available. Also, the noise level could be an issue on busier nights.

hotel mondonce kyoto gojo was a great find! the apartment felt really spacious and like a home away from home with a kitchenette where we could cook family meals. there’s a nice supermarket just a short walk away, super handy for snacks. we loved the quiet neighborhood and how easy it was to get around to the sights, really chill vibe. oh, and the heated drying function in the shower was super clever, dried our clothes in no time!

but the beds were kinda firm for my liking and the morning sun can be really bright, so better curtains would’ve been nice.
