I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Seawave in Beppu. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the JR Beppu station. While the hotel didn't have its own hot spring, there were nearby options available. The maritime-themed hotel had a friendly staff and the breakfast, although we didn't try it, was reasonably priced. Our room had a stunning sea view, and though it was small, the bathroom was spacious and had a modern bidet toilet. The beds were comfortable, and despite the slight datedness of the room, it was clean and affordable. The lobby, restaurant, and even a vending machine were conveniently located in the hotel. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and a small mall within the station. During our stay, we took an excursion to Mt Aso, highly recommended, and explored the fascinating Hells of Beppu. Don't miss the foot hot springs and try the eggs cooked in the Hells! While there were some minor downsides like thin walls and small double beds, the hotel's superb location and authentic charm outweighed any negatives. I highly recommend Hotel Seawave for a wonderful stay in Beppu.

The hotel's location is extremely convenient, as it is directly across the street from the Beppu railroad station. This makes it easy to explore the city and visit various tourist spots. The rooms are surprisingly large for Japan, providing enough space to comfortably relax. The staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay. Additionally, the hotel offers a delicious breakfast buffet with a mixture of Japanese and Western dishes.

Some rooms may have outdated furnishings, which could benefit from a fresh coat of paint.

Great location close to train station and restaurants. the onsen was nice and we enjoyed the foot hot springs nearby.

The room was very small and had a bad odor. the bathroom was old and not very clean.
