We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was superb, right near the bustling restaurants street in downtown Kyoto. We easily accessed it by bus from Kyoto station and it was conveniently situated between Kyoto Station and Kyoto's main shopping street, Shijo Dori. We loved being within walking distance of the vibrant Gion and Pontucho area, which added to the charm of our visit. The room was cozy, the bathroom clean, and the service provided by the staff was exceptional. The hotel also offered a delicious breakfast that started our day off on a high note. We even had the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful view from our room, overlooking the city's picturesque streets. we were extremely satisfied with our stay.

The only downside we experienced was that the air conditioning in our room was not working properly, which made it a bit stuffy at night. However, we were lucky to visit during a cooler season, so it didn't impact our stay too much.

I recently stayed at SH By The Square Hotel in Kyoto for a few days. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond with their customer service. The hotel is conveniently located near the bus and train stations, making it easy to get around the city. They even offer day bus passes for purchase at the front desk. The hotel is also within walking distance to downtown and the Gion district, making it a great base for exploring the city. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the hotel also had a washing machine and dryer available for use. I had a great experience and will definitely be back when I return to Kyoto.

The breakfast was delicious and abundant, and the free bikes provided were a nice way to get around the city. the hotel was in a great location, just a short walk from many attractions and restaurants.

The lobby being on the second floor wasn’t clearly marked, which was a little confusing upon arrival. the room was quite small and cramped, making it difficult to move around comfortably.

The hotel lacks a bar, but there are plenty of neighborhood bars nearby, so it's just a minor inconvenience.

The breakfast with local Kyoto products and delicious Omi beef, large and clean river view room with comfortable bedding, walking distance to Gion and Nishiki Market, lovely places to eat along the river.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Kyoto and had a wonderful experience at Sh By The Square Hotel Kyoto Kiyamachi. The hotel is conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easy to get to Kyoto Station and other attractions like the Kyomizudera Temple. The staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and helpful, and they were able to communicate well in English. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and a high level of cleanliness. I also loved the Japanese touches in the room, like the tea pot and green tea provided. it was a great stay!

The only thing I wished was better about the breakfast was the variety. It would have been great to have more options to choose from in the morning meal.

Everything was spotlessly clean and the decor was modern yet cozy. the staff went above and beyond to assist us with any requests we had. We can't recommend this place enough!
