I recently stayed at Sotetsu Fresa Inn for a quick stopover before heading to Shiga Kogen. The hotel rooms and bathrooms were clean, and while a bit dated, they were exactly as expected based on the pictures and descriptions. The staff was friendly and helpful, with enough English skills to assist with simple questions. The location couldn't have been better, just across the street from the Nagano station and near plenty of restaurants. The convenience of the hotel's proximity to the station and the main shopping area made exploring the city incredibly easy. Additionally, the room was spacious compared to other hotels I stayed at during my trip.

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. the location was perfect, just behind the train station and away from the main street, providing a quiet atmosphere. the staff, although having limited English skills, were very friendly and accommodating. the rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, and I even got a room upgrade upon check-in. I enjoyed the great view of the mountains from my room, plus there was a great Japanese restaurant downstairs. it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again.

The elevator stopping at the hotel reception floor every time can be a bit annoying.

The decor seemed a bit outdated, and the air conditioning system was set to heat the room even though it was springtime, making it too warm for comfort. we had to walk a bit to find restaurants as there weren't many in the immediate area.

The hotel is conveniently located across the road from the train/bus station, making it easy to walk with luggage. It is also very close to JR Nagano station, snow monkey bus, and all the JR lines. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a small double bed and a warm temperature even in winter. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there is internet/WiFi in the lobby. The hotel serves as a great base for visiting nearby attractions such as the Snow Monkeys and Matsumoto.

The lift in the hotel always stops at the 4th floor, which can be a bit annoying.
