I recently stayed at Izutsu Hotel in Kyoto for a week while hiking the Kumano kodo. The staff were lovely and allowed us to store our luggage for the duration of our hike. The location was excellent, with a subway station, bus stops, and a fantastic bakery all within a 5-minute walk. The hotel was surrounded by great eateries and a shopping mall. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel offered free wifi and the option to skip housekeeping in exchange for water bottles. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is a gem in the heart of Kyoto, located right in the center along a lively shopping street. It's surrounded by fantastic eateries of all kinds, making dining options endless. The staff provide basic amenities and the rooms are equipped with typically Japanese bathrooms, complete with controllable heating. Additionally, the breakfast options are varied and satisfying.

Additionally, there is a direct bus line to Kyoto station, providing convenient access to transportation. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and a nice view from the top floor. The staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The wifi connection in some rooms may be poor and may have issues with dropping, which can be frustrating for guests trying to use the internet.

I had a great experience staying at Izutsu Hotel Kyoto Kawaramachi Sanjo. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel for a week while we went hiking, which was a huge convenience. The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic. There are excellent bakeries nearby, as well as easy access to trains, subways, and buses. I highly recommend this hotel for its friendly staff and ideal location.

Great value for the price! the hotel is located in a lively area with easy access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants. the room was clean, and the staff friendly, offering basic English skills. the self-laundry facilities were a nice touch, and the free coffee at the reception was a pleasant surprise.

The room size was a bit small, and the bathroom could be challenging for taller people. There was no receptionist during the night, and you need to announce beforehand if you plan to arrive late.

Centrally located and easily accessible to train stations, shopping areas and markets. Helpful and friendly staff, especially the housekeeping team. Lost item was found and returned promptly. Sound-proofing could be improved, but overall a comfortable and convenient stay.

I had a great value for my money at this hotel. The location was fantastic, with Sanjo Station and a big shopping area right next to it. The room and bathroom were clean, and the beds had plugs for charging electronics. The staff was very courteous and accommodating to our travel schedule.

The breakfast option could be improved with more variety.
