We loved the separate and spacious toilets, which were very clean. The lounge area had a friendly atmosphere and was a great place to relax. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The location was fantastic, with easy access to public transportation and popular areas of the city. this hotel offered great value for money and provided free coffee, tea, and water in the lounge throughout the day.

I stayed at the lovely Kaede Guesthouse for a week during my sightseeing trip. The hospitable host Niya made me feel at home and the location was perfect, close to bars and restaurants. The rooftop sit out area was a wonderful addition, and the amenities were worth the money. The rooms, although small, were clean and comfortable, with individual lights and charging ports. The staff were very helpful in navigating the complex transport system, ensuring I made the most of my limited time here.

Another advantage was the cleanliness of the facilities, especially the bathrooms, which were kept spotless.

The beds in the dorm room were quite hard and made a lot of noise, which could be a bit bothersome at night. Additionally, the main entrance of the guesthouse was not very appealing, but once inside, the reception area was perfectly fine.

I stayed at this convenient and clean hotel for a week. It is perfect for backpackers and large groups. The shared bathrooms and toilets were very clean and easily accessible. The included breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with a variety of breads and drinks available. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even holding onto our suitcases while we explored other areas of Japan. The location is great, within walking distance of Gion and several temples. I recently stayed at Kaede Guesthouse for a few days. The included breakfast was a big bonus, and the bed was made upon arrival, a nice touch not often found in other hostels in Japan. The rooftop and extra kitchen facility were great, although I mostly enjoyed the lounge area where I could eat and warm up my food. The separate "make-up" rooms for males and females were spacious and perfect for getting ready with friends. The lobby had plenty of seating, and the staff was helpful in finding us a great izakaya during a busy evening. Kaede Guesthouse was clean, roomy, and one of the best hostels I've stayed at.

Lots of traditional and modern cafes and restaurants nearby. The inside is cute and clean. Beds were comfortable and the shower was really good. The hostel offers free shampoo, soap, and hair dryers. They also have a free breakfast with sweet options. The sleeping quarters have a code-controlled door, adding a feeling of security. There is a convenience store next door and an abundance of restaurants. The guesthouse is in a super good location, easy to get around by bus or metro.
