We had an incredible stay at a beautiful family-owned hotel in Yamanouchi. The authentic Japanese accommodation was complemented by a stunning garden, providing a serene atmosphere. We had a wonderful romantic escape at this small inn. The personal touch was one of the best aspects, with only a few staff members attending to our needs. We enjoyed the onsen facilities, and the fact that we could also access a larger onsen at a nearby grand hotel. The dinner in our own private dining room was a lovely experience. The location was convenient, with a short walk back to the inn after dinner.

The beds were quite firm and close to the ground, which may be challenging for those with back problems. Also, the pillows were thin and not very comfortable.

I had an exceptional stay at a beautiful, family-run ryokan just a short walk from the snow monkey park. The traditional Japanese dining was extravagant, and the choice of four different onsens was more than I could ask for. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, and the fact that they made arrangements to shuttle me to the Snow Monkey Park and train station was a huge plus. I also appreciated the effort to prepare or arrange vegetarian meals for me. I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and relaxing vacation.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. First, the value for money was excellent, with affordable prices for such a fantastic experience. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was impeccable, from the traditional decor to the beautiful garden view from our comfortable room. Despite the chilly weather, our room was warm and cosy, providing a cozy sanctuary during our stay. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff members who made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. And of course, the highlight of our stay was the delicious Japanese breakfast, which was authentically prepared and soooooooooooo delicious.

We had such a wonderful time staying at this beautiful ryokan in Yudanaka. It was the perfect place to stay before visiting the snow monkeys. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing, and the onsen in the sister hotel was so relaxing. The service was outstanding - they even made sure we didn't miss the free snow monkey transfer. We highly recommend this ryokan for a truly authentic and memorable experience. we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it to others.
