We had a great stay at a budget-friendly hostel in Ryogoku. the comfortable 10-bed dormitory had everything we needed, including a shared kitchen and dining room where we could cook our meals. the location may not be well-known, but it has its own charm with a bustling food street and a nearby sumo arena. Despite being a bit far from the fancier areas of Tokyo, the train was quick and easy to navigate. the hostel staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. a surprisingly pleasant experience at Khaosan World Ryogoku.

Bright Bed Lights: The bed lights in the room were incredibly bright and disturbed other guests. Curtains and dimmer lights would greatly improve the sleeping experience for everyone.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, being close to a train station and tourist sites in the hall area. the common area is comfortable with plenty of tables and chairs, providing a spacious and clean environment for guests.

The mattresses on the bunk beds were super thin and uncomfortable, especially on the bottom bunk.

As a tourist, I absolutely loved the unique style and decor of the rooms at this hotel. The bunk beds and tatami flooring added a fun and interesting touch to our stay. The room didn't feel cramped at all, with plenty of space to move around and unpack. The high ceilings and efficient air conditioning made it even more comfortable. Additionally, the location near the Ryogoku Sumo Hall and the convenience of Ryogoku station made it easy to explore the area.

The hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, providing a peaceful and relaxing environment for my family to rest after a long day of exploring the city. The complimentary drinks, such as coffee and green tea, were a nice touch and added to our overall enjoyment. the strong WiFi connection allowed us to stay connected and entertained during our downtime.

Although overall the staff was friendly and helpful, we had a slight issue with one receptionist who seemed cold and unresponsive towards our requests. However, the other staff members were more than willing to assist us, which was a relief.

I stayed at Khaosan World Ryogoku for the sumo championship and it was perfect! The location was ideal, just a 5-minute walk from the Metro and JR stations. The staff were friendly and explained everything clearly in English. The room was clean, well-equipped with power outlets, and even had a gadget with Tokyo activities and sightseeing suggestions. Amenities like towels, toothbrushes, and safety boxes were all provided. The hostel also had a fantastic common area with a kitchen, TV, and even a leg onsen. They even hosted a free takoyaki party! a great experience with friendly staff and convenient amenities.

The hostel events in common spaces were a great way for us to relax and meet other guests. We especially enjoyed the communal activities where we learned about Japanese culture. Inexpensive and comfortable, this hostel provided everything we needed for a pleasant stay in Tokyo.

My wife says that a playground or outdoor area for kids would be great for families with children.

I recently stayed at this hostel for the Sumo Championship period. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the JR station and close to the arena. The hostel had a large and well-equipped kitchen, perfect for socializing and watching TV. The leg onsen was a pleasant surprise, especially during the cold season. The staff were friendly and kept the place clean with detailed cleaning. The dormitory I stayed in had its own shower and toilet, but there were additional facilities on each floor. it was one of the best hostels I've stayed in.
