I recently had the pleasure of staying at a traditional ryokan in a quaint spa town between Tokyo and Nagano. The location of the ryokan was ideal, situated on the Ikaho Stone Steps with magnificent views. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable stay. The highlight was definitely the onsen bath, with a choice of three different types. The open-air onsen offered a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. the kaiseki-style dinner was a gastronomic delight, with a wide variety of delicious dishes.

One downside was that there was a minimal English speaking staff which made communication a bit challenging at times.

The location of this hotel was perfect, situated right next to historic stone steps, giving me easy access to shopping and a beautiful temple. And let's not forget about the room - the peaceful view of the mountain range from my window was simply breathtaking.

We had a great time at a ryokan in Shibukawa. The service was impeccable, and the dinner served in our room was amazing. The private bath was so relaxing, and the futons were surprisingly comfortable. we highly recommend this hotel.

The three onsen options each provide a unique experience, with the open air one being a favorite. The view from the elevator is breathtaking and the staff are helpful and friendly, despite language barriers. Complimentary shuttle service is available to the nearby bus stop. Amenities and dietary requirements are well catered for.

The hot springs at the hotel and the food were enjoyable. the location was great since it was close to public transportation and other attractions in the area. It was nice to have access to a private bath.

The language barrier was a major issue since the staff hardly spoke any English. the prices were quite high, especially for the limited amount of English support provided.
