Amazing breakfast, attentive staff, central location, outstanding service. Early wake-up call for breakfast, hospitable staff who speak English, great bath, comfortable bed. Convenient access to public transportation and local shops. Traditional ryokan experience with warm welcome and complimentary robes and green tea.

During my stay at this charming ryokan, I was amazed by its perfect location. Just steps away from bustling Shijo Street, I had easy access to all the major attractions in Kyoto. The Nishiki Market was practically at my doorstep, and the subway station was just a short walk away.

Although I didn't try the communal baths, I heard they were a must for those seeking a traditional onsen experience. However, I did notice a slight smell of green tea throughout the hotel, which might bother some guests who are not fond of the scent.

Located in the center of town, right next to the bustling food market, Kinparo Kyoto provides a convenient base for exploring all the main attractions in the city. The tatami rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with all necessary amenities including a shower room, toilet, and small sink. The friendly staff goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, providing complimentary robes and a warm welcome. The traditional Japanese breakfast is a highlight, offering a variety of delicious dishes such as grilled fish, white rice, and miso soup. Additionally, the public bath provides a relaxing experience after a day of sightseeing.

The bath in the room was a bit small and could have been cleaned more thoroughly.

The traditional breakfast was exceptional, lovely staff, clean onsen, great location, comfortable futons, excellent service.

We spent our Xmas holidays in a traditional inn in Japan. the rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was very friendly. We loved the hot baths and the complimentary green tea with Japanese treats. the location was perfect, just a few steps from the lively market and many restaurants. We also enjoyed the traditional breakfasts that were offered, with fresh soft tofu and delicious fish.

That the bathroom was a bit small and the shower nozzle was in an odd position, making it a bit difficult to use. the room could use a bit of updating.
