The staff at the inn were incredibly nice, helpful, and professional. The room was beautifully decorated, new, and spotlessly clean. The location was convenient, with a subway station just a short walk away. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.

The hotel is located in a nice area near the University of Kyoto, which offers a great atmosphere and plenty of nearby restaurant and food shop options. The staff, including the nice and really helpful couple who run the hotel, provided us with practical information and leaflets to make our stay in this beautiful city even more enjoyable. The room we stayed in was quite spacious and neatly furnished, with very comfortable beds and a working AC. There was even a lovely terrace with a roof where we could relax and have our morning coffee.

No meal options at the hotel, but plenty of nearby restaurants.

The hotel was relatively affordable, and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. The hotel was located near public transportation, so it was easy to get around and explore. We appreciated the free Wi-Fi and the fact that the hotel offered complimentary breakfast each morning.

Our Easter stay at the hotel left much to be desired. The walls in our room were paper-thin, and we could hear every noise from the neighboring room, including snoring and conversations.

The manager and his wife at Marikoji Inn were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our last-minute check-in went smoothly and even gave us a free room upgrade. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-organized with comfortable beds. The location near the University of Kyoto was convenient and we received practical information on getting around Kyoto. Despite the lack of meal options at the Inn, there were plenty of nearby restaurants and food shops. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
