cleanliness is top-notch, and having a grocery store nearby is super convenient. the staff were so kind and helped us get around. the free use of local crockery was a fun touch, and having two bathrooms in the suite was a big win for families.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mimaru. the friendly and English-speaking staff were superb, offering complimentary beer and sake in the evenings. the spacious 2-bedroom apartment had modern amenities, including individual air-conditioning controls and fantastic showers. the location, close to a subway station, made exploring convenient. the cleanliness, comfort of the beds, and helpful service made our 6-night stay a delight.

Mimaru Suites Shijo has spacious, spotless 2-bedroom apartments with 2 showers and baths. Free local beer or sake offered from 5-7pm. Comfy beds and pillows, fantastic showers, and a well-equipped kitchen. the location is central with great dining options nearby, including the Nishiki markets.

I had the most amazing stay at a hotel in Kyoto. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the train station and many attractions. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a kitchenette that had everything I needed for light cooking. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel like I was coming home each day. The hotel even had a unique concept to reduce waste, which I found very impressive. my experience was fantastic and I would definitely book this hotel again.

I did find the bedroom slippers to be uncomfortable. But luckily, disposable ones were provided that were much more comfortable to wear.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. the location was perfect, just a short walk from the subway and surrounded by convenient stores and coffee shops. the hotel itself had a nice art feel to it, with local artisans' works featured. the furnishings in the rooms were of high quality and the bathrooms were very nice with lots of space. We were impressed by the provided washer/dryer and laundry soap. the staff at the front desk were polite and helpful. This is definitely the best choice for family travelers.

The location of Mimaru Suites Kyoto Shijo is incredible. Being within walking distance of major train stations and attractions made it so convenient for exploring Kyoto. I also loved the extra perks like the coffee machine in the lobby and the daily happy hour with sake and beer. The spacious and clean rooms with a kitchenette were perfect for light cooking.

During a snowstorm, the hotel couldn't secure a taxi for us, which forced us to walk in the snow to find a restaurant and then walk with our suitcases to the train station. It would have been great if the hotel had arrangements with a taxi company for situations like these.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! They really went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. the rooms were also spacious and clean, which was a huge plus. the location was convenient to shops, markets, and transportation which made exploring the city super easy!

The air conditioning was a bit confusing and the rooms didn't have proper ventilation. This caused some discomfort while sleeping as the air was dry and stuffy.
