We loved the traditional feel of the place, from sleeping on the tatami mat floor to the awesome hot water spa. The Japanese breakfast and dinner were both delicious and the dinner was a very special banquet. The rooms were large, clean, and beautifully decorated, with their own toilets. The owner was friendly and explained how to use everything. The location was scenic and a car was required to reach it, but parking was available and free.

We absolutely loved our stay at this traditional Japanese inn! The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with tatami mat floors that added to the authentic feel. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hot water spa, which was so relaxing and rejuvenating after a long day. Another great thing about this place was the delicious Japanese breakfast they served, full of local specialties. We also enjoyed the special banquet dinner one night, which was a memorable experience. And even though the hot water machine for drinks in the room didn't have English instructions, it wasn't a big issue for us.

The bath facility was located outside the accommodation building. It was fine for us as we visited in autumn, but it might not be ideal during the winter months.

Fancy perks like fax machines and newspapers that I definitely used. Asian breakfast was quite an adventurous experience. The nearest airport was a nice touch. Asoozu Golf Club and Kusumi Plateau activities were a riot! a positively unforgettable getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at Minshuku Asogen in Aso! The private onsen in the evenings was a great highlight, and the staff were lovely. The dinner provided was amazing - so much delicious food and lots of variety. The family room we stayed in was clean and spacious, accommodating my family of 6 comfortably. The ample parking and easy location were also a plus. a fantastic stay!
