I stayed at a hotel that had great food and a very convenient location. It was right at the ferry dock for Miyajima, so catching a boat was super easy. If you're driving and can't take the car ferry, this hotel is perfect. Plus, it's just a couple of minutes away from a train station, making it convenient for exploring central Hiroshima. The breakfast offered a nice mix of continental and Japanese dishes, and you could even enjoy an ocean view while eating. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean, and it was a peaceful place to sleep.

I stayed at Miyajima Coral for a day trip to Miyajima. The hotel's proximity to the ferry terminal was ideal, making it easy for me to catch the ferry. I also appreciated the upgrade I received upon arrival and the helpful staff who took good care of my luggage. It had a wide variety of freshly made dishes, constantly replenished by the attentive staff. We were spoilt for choice with the different options available. the hotel provided yukatas for us to use as pyjamas, which added a touch of comfort and relaxation to our stay.

The lack of proper bathroom facilities. The bathroom felt cramped and resembled a small trailer bathroom, which was less than ideal.

As a senior woman, I appreciated that the hotel had easy access for people of all ages, with well-maintained elevators and ramps. It was comforting to know that the hotel was designed with the comfort and convenience of its guests in mind.

The only thing that could have made my vacation better as a senior woman would have been if the children working there were a bit more attentive and proactive in offering assistance. While they were polite and respectful, there were a few instances where I felt they could have been more responsive to the needs of older guests, such as offering to carry luggage or providing more detailed information about nearby attractions.

From salads to pumpkin soup, boiled eggs to little Frankfurt sausages, there is something for everyone. It's a nice way to start the day.
