We had a fantastic stay at this traditional Onsen Ryokan. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the spacious and well-maintained rooms were the nicest we came across during our trip. The in-room onsen bath was a highlight, and we also enjoyed the incredible private onsen that was included in the room price. The hotel facilities, including the public onsen and the private outdoor onsen, exceeded our expectations. The staff were welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. The location in the mountains provided beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere.

The facilities at Miyama Ouan were fantastic with a variety of amazing onsens, including private outdoor baths. The traditional delicacies served for dinner and breakfast were exceptional, and the view of the mountains during meals was beautiful. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, going above and beyond to assist us when we forgot our passports. As foreign tourists, we felt welcomed and had a truly relaxing experience.

We felt very lucky to have found Miyama Ouan and had no reason to complain.

Great traditional Onsen Ryokan with lovely onsens and lots of options. Easy access from bus terminal, only a 5-minute walk. Large and comfortable rooms. Spectacular breakfast and dinner, with a variety of local delicacies. Attentive and friendly staff.

I had a fantastic time at Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort in Takayama. The staff were incredibly helpful and made my stay extra special. The onsen facilities were amazing, both indoor and outdoor, and the private outdoor spa bath in my room was a luxurious treat. The traditional Japanese-style room was comfortable and clean, with a lovely view of the mountains. The kaiseki dinner was a delicious, authentic dining experience. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and memorable stay.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional, and the facilities provided were top-notch. The hotspring outdoor was excellent and provided a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Additionally, the staff members were extremely welcoming and made me feel at home. They were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. Moreover, the location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the beautiful surroundings, such as the Hirayu Onsen area and nearby Kamikochi. The breathtaking mountain views were a treat for the eyes.

The onsen at this resort was absolutely amazing! I loved the view and the option to have a private onsen in my room. The natural hot springs were so relaxing and the cypress-built bathrooms added an extra touch of luxury. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

One thing I didn't enjoy was the rush during dinner. Despite the delicious food, the multiple sittings meant that I felt rushed to finish my meal and even had to leave some dishes unfinished.

Splendid mountain view from the restaurant and snow and forest view from the rooms. Big rooms with private onsen and the option to rent an outdoor private onsen for free. Big breakfast and complimentary ramen at 10pm. Nice staff and super clean facilities. Easy access to the hotel from the bus terminal, with the option of a pick-up service.

Felt totally relaxed, no complaints whatsoever.

The onsens, both private and public, were fantastic. The late night ramen was delicious. The option to wear kimonos was a nice touch. Staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and courteous.

The view from the room was amazing! We could see the mountains from the balcony which was a great way to start the day. the onsen was nice and clean, and we enjoyed soaking in the hot waters. the staff was friendly and accommodating, which we thought was great.

It was not as delicious as we expected. the location was a bit far from the main town so it was difficult to find decent restaurants nearby.

The futons at Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort were incredibly comfortable, more like western beds on tatami mats! The outdoor onsen was absolutely beautiful, and I especially enjoyed the reservable private outdoor onsen, foot spa, and in-room tub. It was great to have a room that separated so my spouse and I could relax in the living space while the kids slept. The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to the bus terminal and many foot spas nearby. I loved all the extra perks, like the free milk, ramen at 10pm, and the massage chair in our room. I highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic onsen stay with kids!

The luxurious amenities at this hotel were amazing! the private onsen with a beautiful view of the mountains was a highlight. the room was spacious with traditional Japanese decor and exclusive facilities like a private bath. the friendly and helpful staff provided exceptional service, and the restaurant fulfilled our palates with a variety of exquisite dishes.

The only minor issue was the location, which was a bit remote, but it had the advantage of being surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. Despite this, the hotel offered shuttle services to explore the area.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with tatami beds and a private bath. The highlight was the private outdoor onsen, which was a truly relaxing experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for visiting Kamikochi. Additionally, the complimentary milk was a nice touch.

The quality of the meals, especially dinner, was not the best compared to other places we ate in Japan. Additionally, the breakfast was only in Japanese, which may be a drawback for some guests.
