The family running the guest house were super friendly and kind, they even gave us origami lessons! The on-site restaurant served delicious food at very reasonable prices. The dorm beds were super comfortable and the free tea and coffee were a great perk. The location was perfect for accessing Hakone, and we were able to leave our luggage and collect it at the end of the day. The nearby castle was a hidden gem, with beautiful grounds to stroll around. The private traditional room we stayed in was lovely, very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The communal areas were clean with available toiletries and facilities to make tea. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, ensuring we knew where everything was. The place had a cute and well-renovated atmosphere, and the cat was adorable. The staff spoke good English and recommended a relaxing experience at Tenzan Onsen. a mind-blowing stay with GREAT amenities like wi-fi, a leisure/ TV room, shared kitchen, air conditioning, and a no-smoking policy. No pets allowed.

The showers were excellent, and the small fridge in our room was a convenient addition. We also loved the fact that there was not much external noise, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. And of course, we cannot forget to mention the highlight of our stay - the absolutely beautiful and friendly cats that roamed the guest house!

I was also impressed by the hospitality, as they provided tea, coffee, and biscuits. I will definitely bring my friends from other countries here on my next visit.
