The highlight, however, was the delicious and unique meals served. The breakfast and dinners felt like a feast at a high-end restaurant, and it was definitely one of the best dining experiences I had during my trip to Japan. Moreover, the breakfast and dinner served at the hotel are delicious and reasonably priced, offering a variety of delectable dishes. While the outdoor onsen areas are small and limited in size, this can be overlooked considering the other positive aspects of the hotel.

The breakfast was copious and the dinner was excellent. The location was close to the temple area and directly next to fabulous shrines. The hotel provided a reliable pick-up service from the station.

Our stay at Oyado Yamakyu was absolutely delightful! We spent a few nights here and it was a great experience. The ryokan is incredibly beautiful, and the service provided by the staff was excellent. We especially loved the onsen, even though it was quite hot outside. The tranquility of the place ensured a peaceful night's sleep, and the food served was outstanding. Although our children found the Japanese breakfast a bit challenging, it was definitely an unforgettable experience. This hotel will be one of our favorite memories of Japan.

The location of the hotel was very convenient, as it was just a short 5-10 minute walk to the center, allowing easy access to the shrines and traditional townscape with its charming cherry blossom-filled shrines and canals. The room, with its traditional Japanese style and view of a beautiful garden, was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast provided a wonderful array of food, with a mix of Japanese and western options.

All was perfect during my stay at this hotel.
