My stay at Rakucho Ryokan was fantastic! The owner/manager was incredibly kind and welcoming, providing us with all the information we needed to make our stay comfortable. The room was spacious and the futons were super comfortable. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and I especially loved the zen garden. The location was great, with easy access to public transportation and friendly locals in the neighborhood. I highly recommend staying at Rakucho Ryokan for an authentic and enjoyable experience.

The ryokan had comfortable sleeping mattresses and clean shared toilets and showers. It was conveniently located near the Kyoto Botanical Garden, public transportation, and a supermarket. The "kimono style" robes were a nice touch.

We also appreciated the laundry facilities on site. The location was perfect, in the center of the tourist area and very close to the bus stop, making it easy to access the major attractions. The staff were friendly, kind, and always ready to help. It was a peaceful and serene experience overall.

We enjoyed delicious breakfasts at a nearby bakery and found some fantastic restaurants in the area. The ryokan itself was spotlessly clean and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay.

The ryokan is conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easy to explore the main attractions. I enjoyed my 2-night stay at Rakucho Ryokan!

I had an exceptional stay at this traditional wooden ryokan. The friendly service and clean rooms with modern features made for a comfortable experience. The location was convenient, with the metro station just an 8-minute walk away and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The manager was very helpful and the ryokan provided a true Japanese experience, complete with tatami floors and a Japanese bath. The neighborhood was quiet and charming, with easy access to transportation. I highly recommend this beautiful and typical Japanese inn.
