We definitely got great value for our money at Roman Kan in Kyoto. The room was well-appointed and had all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect, just a short walk from Kyoto Station, and the staff treated us with friendliness and responsiveness.

The only thing that could make the breakfast selection better was perhaps a wider variety of options.

roman kan was even better than my last stay in kyoto. the receptionist was super helpful with dinner and kimono reservations, and the room was clean, spacious, and had a nice little bathtub.

Convenient location, easily walkable from the train station. Annex rooms lack character but are well-equipped. Family-run restaurant and public onsen nearby. Traditional atmosphere with tatami mats and futons available for rent. Friendly staff and delicious sizable breakfast.

The breakfast was delicious and the facilities were clean. I also loved the little garden in front of the restaurant. a cozy and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!
