Our stay at the Ryokan Sanga was a delightful experience. We loved the traditional Shabu Shabu dinner and Japanese breakfast that were offered. The location in the Gion area was perfect for exploring Kyoto. The hotel also provided us with comfortable Yukatas to wear around the premises. The room itself was very comfortable, and the view from our window was spectacular. Despite the slight inconvenience of a malfunctioning sink, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel for a truly authentic Kyoto experience.

I had a great time staying at this place! The location was perfect, with the Nishiki markets and the large markets just a stone's throw away. I loved being able to explore the bustling streets and arcades in the area. The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist with any questions or concerns I had. The room was charming and very clean, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like heating and air conditioning. The onsen, both the private one in the room and the larger public one, were a wonderful way to relax and unwind. it was a fantastic experience!

Ryokan Sanga was great value for money with a spacious room and our own bathroom. The location was perfect, surrounded by shopping, cafes, and restaurants, and only a short walk to Pontocho Alley. The staff were friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier.

The menu for breakfast could be improved with more variety.

The traditional Japanese style of the room was charming. the provided breakfast was a tasty and authentic experience. the hotel was situated in a perfect location, with great access to shopping and local markets.

The language barrier with some of the staff proved to be a challenge at times. the hotel lacked some of the modern amenities that would have made the stay more comfortable.

The hotel is conveniently located near the bustling market area, allowing easy access to the vibrant Nishiki Market and other popular hotspots. Guests can enjoy exploring the local shops and boutiques in the vicinity.

Some staff members have limited English proficiency, which may make communication difficult at times.
