Situated in the centre of the village, it offers easy access to the Snow Monkey park entrance. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and provide a traditional Japanese living experience. The hot and relaxing baths are a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. The friendly and helpful staff ensure a pleasant stay. The delicious and beautifully presented breakfast adds to the overall enjoyable experience.

We had a wonderful romantic escape at this ryokan! the traditional Japanese-style room was charming and cozy. the onsen was a relaxing treat after a long day of exploring the area. We also appreciated the free Wi-Fi and convenient shuttle service to nearby attractions.

Although the bedding was comfortable, the futons were a bit too firm for our liking. the staff's English could have been better, which made communication a bit challenging at times.

During my recent stay in Yamanouchi, I had the pleasure of experiencing the warm and authentic hospitality offered at a traditional ryokan. The room at Senshinkan Matsuya was spacious and tastefully decorated, providing a true sense of Japanese charm. The highlight of my stay was the delightful interaction with the friendly owner, who went out of their way to make my visit unforgettable.

Although it should be noted that the property could benefit from some refurbishment, these minor imperfections did not detract from the overall charm and comfort of my stay.
