I had an incredible experience at Shin Okubo Sekitei. The old lady at the reception was absolutely charming and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Despite the lack of an elevator, she kindly offered to carry my bag to my room on the third floor. The staff was incredibly kind and even let us borrow a phone charger for our devices. The room itself was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed, including toothbrushes and a kettle. The traditional Japanese style of the room added to the overall vibe, and the neighborhood of Shin Okubo was a great place to explore. With its proximity to Shinjuku and the Yamanote line, it was the perfect base for our adventures in Japan. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself in Shinjuku without a train to catch!

Stay in an elegant, inexpensive place with a great location near local train stations and plenty of dining options. The minimalist hotel room with a charming stone garden is surprisingly comfortable. Within seconds of walking, you'll find the bustling Korean Town with delicious food and drinks. Even though there is no elevator, the helpful staff will assist with carrying your bags. I highly recommend this hotel for its affordability, location, and unique Japanese-style experience.

The location of the hotel was really convenient, just a few minutes' walk from both the subway and train station. It made exploring the city so much easier. Plus, there were plenty of convenient stores and eateries nearby, so we never went hungry.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious, with a comfortable bed and adequate bathroom facilities. I was impressed with the efficiency and attentiveness of the staff and thoroughly enjoyed my time at Shin Okubo Sekitei.
