The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, making your stay even more enjoyable.

The staff at this hotel were amazing, especially the lady and guy who checked us in. They were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcomed right away. The facilities at the hotel were great too, with a music room, billiard table, and a fully-equipped kitchen. It was nice to have these options for entertainment and relaxation during our stay. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect as it was just a short walk away from the beach. We enjoyed spending time by the shore and taking in the beautiful views. the staff, facilities, and location were the best aspects of our stay.

There were a few minor issues during our stay. our room had ants in the wash area, which was a bit bothersome.

The onsen experience at Hotel Shirahamakan was truly rejuvenating. We indulged in the silky-smooth onsen water from the four different options available. The old Japanese aesthetics of the room, complete with shoji sliding doors and tatami flooring, added a charming touch to our stay. The beach just in front of the hotel was a great bonus. I highly recommend this hotel for a unique and relaxing getaway.

We had a fantastic romantic escape by the beach! the traditional tatami room was spacious and the meals served in the room were a highlight. the multi-course dinner was exquisite and changed daily. We also loved the cypress tub on the balcony, where we could soak our legs in the evening. the location was unbeatable, just a stone's throw away from the beach, with glimpses of the sea visible from our room. And the pine tree grove added a touch of serenity to the surroundings.

While the overall experience was amazing, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. the noise from the road was moderate, although it didn't bother us much as the traffic was light at night.

Our stay at Hotel Shirahamakan was a historic experience. We loved stepping foot in one of Japan's oldest resort towns, and being able to enjoy the documented onsen town. The half-board option was worth it for the full ryokan experience. The breakfast was amazing and different on the second day, and the dinner was overwhelming and delicious. Our room with a private onsen was totally worth it, and we found our time at Shirahamakan very relaxing. The location was prime, with convenience stores, a grocery store, and a beautiful beach within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel.
