the host/manager was incredibly accommodating and friendly, even though there was a language barrier. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, allowing us to check in late and even driving us to the train station when taxis were scarce. the apartment itself was clean and spacious, with all necessary amenities provided. the location was also convenient, near the Gora Station and cable car. it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend Terrace Annex to anyone visiting Hakone.

The location of this hotel is perfect during the Christmas season, as it is situated in the middle of a beautiful little town. the apartment itself is big, comfortable, and clean, offering enough space for a family getaway. Additionally, the staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with our bags upon arrival and departure, making our stay more convenient.

There were a few negative aspects to our experience at this hotel. the transportation to the hotel can be quite challenging if you are not traveling by car.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The units were immaculately clean, bright, and spacious. Both bedrooms had incredibly comfortable futons, and there was even a cozy couch and TV in one of the rooms. The kitchen had all the new amenities I needed, and they even provided complimentary tea and coffee. The wifi connection was super fast, and there were two wifi addresses available in each unit. The staff made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived, offering me cold tea and adjusting the AC. They were so kind that they even let me use their phone free of charge. Plus, they went above and beyond by driving me to the nearby Gora station, as I had heavy luggage. the hotel was modern, convenient, and had breathtaking mountain views to wake up to every day.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

We recently stayed at the Terrace Annex and had a fantastic experience. the rooms were new, clean, and spacious, with great amenities such as a washing machine and well-equipped kitchen. the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved the peaceful ambiance and beautiful views from our room. the location was convenient, with the Gora station just a 10-minute walk away. the hotel provided us with Kimonos, giving us a true Japanese experience. it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Great value for money with a spacious and well-equipped room. The location was convenient, close to the Hakone round trip and open air museum. The staff was friendly and provided us with useful information about the city.

Breakfast selection could be improved with more variety.

Comfy Japanese style bedding and super clean apartment. Great location near the train and ropeway. the nearby brewery with a foot onsen is a fantastic way to relax after sightseeing.

The walk from the station to the apartment is steep and difficult with luggage. the plastic cups for tea and coffee provided were not of good quality.

I loved the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. The hotel also provided free parking and fast Wifi.

The best aspects of my Easter stay were the friendly staff and the clean and comfortable rooms. the staff provided easy check-in and gave us a map and coupons for local onsen, which was a great bonus. the hotel's location was also key, being just a 5-minute walk to the main transportation station. This made it convenient for us to explore the area and visit nearby attractions.

The worst aspects of our stay were the thin walls, which meant we could occasionally hear other guests. Additionally, the neighborhood was very quiet, so if you're looking for a livelier atmosphere, this might not be the best choice.

The hotel rooms were spacious and had beautiful views, which added to the overall pleasant experience. the cleanliness of the hotel was another positive aspect that stood out. Additionally, the location of the hotel in the middle of a beautiful town was a major advantage, providing a serene and peaceful atmosphere.

On the downside, the hotel rooms were quite far from the reception and difficult to reach, especially when carrying heavy suitcases. It would have been more convenient if there were ground floor rooms available.

The 2-bedroom layout was perfect for our needs, with separate sleeping spaces and a comfortable living area. The location was convenient, with a restaurant and supermarket nearby.
