Arriving early for a luxury stay, I eagerly anticipated the onsen, only to be disappointed by its lukewarm temperature. Nevertheless, the stunning rooftop balcony and delicious food made my stay at Kirinosato Takahara truly memorable. Overall, a highly recommended choice for a unique and engaging experience.

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely amazing, with breathtaking views from every room. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The service was top-notch, with attention to every detail. The breakfast was delicious, with hand-made bread and organic local ingredients. I also enjoyed the onsen, where I could relax and play my own music. The cozy woodstove in the common area added to the charm of the place. a perfect stay with great hospitality.

That the onsen was a bit small, so it could get crowded at times.

I recently stayed at Kirinosato Takahara for a few nights and it was an incredible experience. The location of the hotel was absolutely breathtaking, with panoramic views of the valley, mountains, and sky from my room. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, and I loved that we were able to double up on the futons for a good night's sleep. The highlight of my stay was definitely the meals. The traditional Japanese dishes were beautifully presented on classic plates, and the cook took the time to describe each dish, which I found to be a lovely touch. I also had the opportunity to try the local plum wine, which added the perfect accent to my evening. The staff at Kirinosato Takahara were excellent and very attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable.

Amazing views from the dining room, the deck, and definitely from the room at Kirinosato Takahara! the cozy woodstove in the common area added to the inviting atmosphere. the friendly staff made us feel welcome and the food was absolutely fantastic. We loved the option to put on music in the onsen, creating a relaxing and enjoyable experience. the fact that the staff went out of their way to pick up a friend who was reluctant to hike the first part was truly impressive. this was the best place we have ever been!

We stayed at Kirinosato Takahara for our first night on the Kumano Kodo and it was perfect. After a enjoyable hike, we were greeted warmly by Jan, the fantastic host. The staff was friendly and the vegetarian meals were delicious. The hotel's location was ideal, with beautiful views from the rooms and a lovely terrace. The onsen was also a great amenity. it was a great experience and we highly recommend it.
