I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious hotel nestled on a hill just outside the city center. The location was absolutely fantastic, offering breathtaking views of the town and mountains. The staff here went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel so welcome and were incredibly helpful, especially the manager who even went out of their way to post my jacket back to me when I accidentally left it behind. The level of customer service at this place was truly unparalleled.

We loved the hotel's location on top of a mountain just outside the city centre. The views of the surrounding mountains were stunning. The hotel provided a shuttle service into town, which was very convenient. The breakfast spread was amazing, with lots of local delicacies that we hadn't seen elsewhere. The staff serving breakfast were authentically dressed and incredibly polite.

I had an amazing time at a Japanese resort-style hotel with great views and an onsite onsen. The hotel was situated on top of a hill in a park, offering breathtaking views of Takayama and the surrounding mountains. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with a tatami sleeping area and a relaxing sitting area. One of the highlights was the big bath, where I could soak while admiring the magnificent view. The hotel also provided private onsen, ensuring a truly serene and personal experience. The lounge and massage recreation center were perfect for unwinding, and the free massage chairs were a nice touch. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel offered a complimentary shuttle service for those who preferred not to walk up the hill, and taxis were also available. this hotel served as a fantastic base for exploring Takayama, and I would definitely recommend it.

The shuttle bus service ended early in the evening, making it difficult to enjoy the city after dinner. the hill leading up to the hotel was steep and might not be suitable for everyone, especially those with heavy luggage.

We had an amazing stay at Takayama Kanko. the spacious traditional rooms with tatami mats were a highlight. the breakfasts were delicious and the whole experience felt unique and special. the relaxation suite with massage chairs was a lovely surprise. the views of Takayama were superb, and it was only a short stroll into town or a convenient free shuttle ride. the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel well looked after. We would love to come back someday.
