We loved our stay at this 4-star hotel in Kyoto. The location was fantastic for sightseeing around the city and exploring the charming Gion backstreets. It was also close to bus lines and main bridges, making it easy to get around. The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The Japanese-style rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable futon bedding. The hotel amenities were excellent, including heating, air conditioning, and a mini-bar. The two public baths offered different views and were a great way to relax after a long day of exploring. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance, though they didn't serve kid-friendly breakfast options. this hotel provided enhanced comfort and quality services, making it highly recommended.

The only downside was that the Japanese-style room items were just okay. However, this minor issue didn't detract from our overall positive experience.

Didn't dislike anything about the property.

The rooms in this traditional Japanese hotel were cozy and comfortable, with soft tatami mats and thick, fluffy duvets. Sleeping with the windows open and feeling the cool breeze was a refreshing way to end a long day of business meetings. Additionally, the hotel provided a delicious and satisfying breakfast, giving me the energy I needed to start my day.

The hotel had some downsides. the check-in process was a bit inconvenient, as I had to wait until the evening to be able to access my room.

The location of Tazuru was perfect for exploring Kyoto's major attractions. The surrounding street with illuminating lanterns and charming restaurants created a magical atmosphere. The staff, especially the young ones, were incredibly kind and helpful, even speaking Italian. Bathing in the tiny common bath was a unique and enjoyable experience. The traditional Japanese Ryokan breakfast served was delicious.
