My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Seiryu in Kiyomizu. Our stay was for four delightful days. the location is superb, the staff are attentive, and the rooftop view is breathtaking. the elegant rooms, exceptional service, and unique library breakfast all contributed to a truly unforgettable experience. the manager's thoughtfulness and the rooftop bar's ambiance made our stay exceptional.

My new year's stay was wonderful! the hotel was a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city. the location was perfect, near the beautiful temple and with easy access to public transport. the guest lounge was a great place to relax after exploring the city all day, and the staff were always welcoming and friendly. the breakfast was delicious, featuring traditional Japanese dishes alongside some Western options.

Great location for exploring Kiyomizu-dera temple and Gion/Pontocho, with a short walk or medium walk respectively. Loved the lounge, perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. Staff in the lounge were kind and attentive. Rooftop bar had fantastic views, make sure to book in advance for sunset. Access to the guest lounge with complimentary coffee, snacks, and drinks all day added value. Rooms were nice with spacious bathrooms.

Felt truly looked after, nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Kiyomizu temple, allowing easy access for early morning visits. The rooftop bar offers a stunning view of the pagoda and is a perfect spot to enjoy a sunset. The guest lounge provides a relaxing space to unwind after a day of sightseeing, with a warm and welcoming staff.

No Japanese restaurant on-site, requiring guests to venture out for dinner.

The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu is in an excellent location, allowing me to easily explore popular spots in Kyoto. The hotel's rooftop bar, K36, provided a fantastic nighttime experience with beautiful views. I particularly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere in the evening. The breakfast served in the former library was truly enjoyable, with high-quality a la carte options that minimized waste. The staff at the hotel were hospitable and made great efforts to provide excellent service and kindness to the guests.

The WiFi connection was very poor, with speeds as low as 0.5Mbps. Fortunately, we had a pocket hotspot that helped us stay connected.

This hotel is an exquisite oasis of luxury in the heart of Kyoto. We were impressed with the exclusive amenities, which fulfilled our every need. the garden area was peaceful and added a relaxing touch to our stay. the room advantages made us feel like royalty, with modern facilities and a comfortable bed that ensured a good night's sleep. In-room breakfast was a delight, with a variety of dishes to choose from and a prompt delivery.

The only minor issue we experienced was that the Bar/Lounge area closed a bit too early for our liking. Nonetheless, it still offered a nice atmosphere to enjoy drinks before retiring to our room.
