This hotel provides excellent value for money. The prices are very reasonable considering the attention to detail and the location in the area. It is a little far away from the train station, but it is near the tourist area of the harbor, making it convenient for exploring. The staff provides great service and the basic amenities are all taken care of. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with large bathrooms. The wifi is reliable and the breakfast included is a nice bonus.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a few nights and had a fantastic experience. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with easy access to the red brick warehouses, local restaurants, and the tram. I stayed in a spacious twin room in the old bank building, which had comfortable chairs and a coffee table, as well as a convenient laundry area. The shower room was amazing, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing great dinner recommendations for ramen and soup curry. I also enjoyed the nearby public onsen with the locals.

I loved staying at Hakoba! The hostel felt more like a hotel with its amazing facilities and everyday housekeeping. I especially enjoyed the rooftop deck, where I could admire the beautiful view of the water. Despite the minor drawbacks of the kitchen space being a little small and the difficult location to find, I had a fantastic experience overall. The hostel's cleanliness, large size, and the friendly treatment I received made it a memorable stay. I would definitely recommend Hakoba to others. I had a great time and would choose this place again in the future.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with helpful amenities like air purifiers and private bathrooms. The staff are friendly, and the simple breakfast is just right. Guests can also make use of the rooftop and share kitchen facilities.

One reviewer mentioned that there is no lift, so guests may need to climb stairs to reach their rooms.

We had a private room with 4 bunk beds - comfortable and clean, with a sink and sitting area. The shared dining area at the rooftop has a great view of the sea and port. The location is perfect, right next to Kanemori warehouse and the old western area. The local supermarket is just a short distance away, making it convenient to buy fresh and cheap ingredients for breakfast. The walk from the JR station to HakoBA is around 20 minutes, with the market along the way to enjoy fresh seafood. we loved the location and cleanliness of HakoBA and would definitely stay there again.

As a group of friends, we loved the new and clean accommodation with spacious rooms. The shared facilities, such as the bathroom and kitchen, were well-maintained. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, providing answers to our questions and lending us a travel adaptor. The location was perfect, centrally located near attractions like Mount Hakodate and The Brick Houses, as well as tram stations for easy exploration. We enjoyed the lovely view of Hakodate from the Roof Terrace.

We had a fantastic stay at a hotel in Hakodate. the location was ideal, just a short walk to Hachiman-zaka Slope and Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. the staff went above and beyond to assist us with our luggage, both upon check-in and check-out. the room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a spotless bathroom. the hot water ran quickly, which was great for the cold weather. the facilities were excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Nothing it was perfect.

The accommodation offered two complementary facts, and was located in an area with lots of restaurants, a convenience store, and a fish market nearby. the room was well arranged, comfortable and had plenty of space for our luggage. the location was perfect as it was easy to walk around the city and get to the spots we wanted to visit.

We had to check out early and this caused an issue as the reception was not 24 hours. We had to leave the key in the box but couldn't get out of the building since all the doors were locked.
