Located in a picturesque setting above scenic trails, this hotel offers an authentic experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing valuable advice for hikes and arranging tours. The small, basic rooms are clean and comfortable, with convenient en-suite bathrooms. One standout feature is the diverse and tasty dinner buffet, which is considered one of the best in the area. Guests can also enjoy a delicious breakfast.

One aspect that could be improved is the lack of ventilation in some rooms, which can make them feel warm and stuffy.

We had an amazing stay at Gate Lodge in Dana. The setting above the Dana trails is spectacular, with a grand entrance and beautiful building. Despite the cold nights in winter, the staff made sure we were comfortable with heaters and plenty of blankets. The staff, except for one person, were friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the sunset views, which were among the best we saw in Jordan. The authenticity of the buildings added to the overall charm of our stay. Additionally, the lodge arranged everything we needed, including a driver from Amman to the lodge in the middle of the night. The hikes and landscape around Dana were impressive, and the food served at the lodge was delicious.
