The stunning beachfront villa at Anantara was absolutely perfect for our relaxing weekend getaway. The spacious and modern 3 bedroom villa had all the luxurious amenities we could ask for. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, including the helpful Butler Johan. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff made sure we had a great experience throughout our stay. Although I got bitten by sandflies, it didn't ruin the overall experience. The resort itself was quiet and calm, with a beautiful long pool overlooking the South China Sea. The beach was pristine and well-maintained. The shuttle service from the ferry terminal was smooth, and we also enjoyed riding bikes within the resort. The only downside was the limited cocktail list at the infinity bar. Despite that, I highly recommend Anantara for a wonderful and relaxing time. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Starting the New Year at a coastal resort was the best decision ever! the sea view from the room was breathtaking and a perfect way to start the day. the two swimming pools were huge and perfect for a swim to start the day or to just relax. the hotel facilities were great for both adults and kids, with a kids club and fitness center available to use. the best part was the variety in the food, with lots of options to choose from. the staff was really helpful and made us feel at home.

Although the place was beautiful, there were some monkey visitors that made us cautious about leaving the balcony door open. the absence of a sauna or steam facility was missed.

Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas is a dream destination for backpackers like me. The location is perfect, with the resort right next to the beach, allowing me to soak in the sun and enjoy the waves at my convenience. The beautiful and comfortable rooms and bathrooms provide a luxurious experience, while the friendly staff ensure a pleasant stay. The resort's various restaurants serve excellent food, guaranteeing a delightful culinary adventure. Being so near to the beach, I could indulge in water sports or simply relax and enjoy the stunning view.

I did face a slight inconvenience when it came to transportation. The bus shuttle to Els Club, where I wanted to play golf, had unreliable pick-up times, making it difficult to plan my day efficiently.
