I recently stayed at Backhome for a few nights with my girlfriend. We were really impressed with the private room and its icy Canadian-like AC. Clean floors, cozy common area for chilling and meeting other guests, friendly staff.

the hostel had a brilliant design that combined the history of the old shophouse with modern touches. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to offer great advice on Kuala Lumpur. the beds were gloriously comfortable and the bathrooms were clean with powerful hot showers. We especially liked the double bed dorm, which gave us a bit of privacy. the hostel also organized events and tours, and we highly recommend the market tour for trying authentic street food.

I've stayed at Backhome four times in the past 6 months and it's always my go-to place in KL. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, offering great services like tours and transportation advice. The facilities are top-notch with spacious dorms, comfortable beds, and clean toilets/showers. The breakfast is simple but tasty, and there are plenty of common areas to relax in. Plus, the location is perfect, walking distance to the start line of the KL Marathon. Definitely recommend this hotel!
