Upon our departure, almost all of the staff gathered in the lobby to bid us farewell, showing their genuine hospitality. the hotel's Italian cuisine was excellent, although we only dined there once as we wanted to explore the local Penang food scene. the hotel's location was ideal for exploring the area, and the staff were always helpful in providing directions and recommendations. We look forward to returning in the future.

The noise from the surrounding area and other guests can be a bit distracting at times, especially for light sleepers.

the Indochine room at this heritage property was meticulously designed with beautiful Asian artifacts, evoking a sense of the past. From the exquisite staircase to the breathtaking library and stunning paintings, every detail was taken care of. the room itself was a haven of comfort, with a soft, fluffy mattress, a well-stocked fridge, a nest of pillows, and a luxurious rain shower. the old wooden floors and beveled window panels added to the overall charm. the staff were exceptional, offering a warm welcome with a glass of nutmeg juice upon check-in. They provided great advice on activities, dining options, and even allowed me to enjoy a bowl of soup noodles from a nearby street vendor. the Italian restaurant on-site also served a delicious steak, making for a memorable dining experience. I cannot commend the staff and everyone involved in the care of this property enough for creating such an enchanting and memorable stay.
