One minor issue I encountered during my time at Ascott Gurney Penang was the noise disturbance from parties held on the open seventh floor. While the hotel's amenities are excellent, the late-night music from events like weddings and parties could potentially disrupt the peaceful ambiance for guests staying in rooms above that area.

I chose Ascott Gurney Penang solely for a brief transit stay during my journey, and the convenience of being just 21 km away from Penang International Airport was a major plus. the spacious and clean rooms with stunning sea views, attentive staff, and excellent bathing supplies made my short stay comfortable and enjoyable.

One minor downside was the lack of TV programs in the room, which could have offered more entertainment options during downtime.

My parents and I had a great stay at Ascott in Goergetown. The facilities were perfect for our need to rest, and the option to order food online and have it delivered to the hotel was a game-changer. The reception staff were friendly and provided excellent customer service. The spacious room had a stunning view of the sea and sunrise. The new shopping mall nearby is sure to attract more visitors, especially with its food shops. We were impressed with the amenities in the room, including a microwave and big fridge, making our longer stay with children easier.
