I had an unforgettable stay at Na Bolom. the hotel, which is part of an ethnographic museum, is beautifully decorated with artifacts. the room was cozy and warm, thanks to the pile of blankets, all-set-up fireplace , and a space heater. the restaurant served delicious food, such as the fried fish with garlic. the location was perfect, with short walking distance to the markets and the historical center. the staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Even though it was a colder than usual winter and the city had no heat, Na Bolom made sure I was comfortable and provided a unique atmosphere.

Na Bolom was a truly special place to stay. the Palenque room, facing the beautiful gardens, was spotlessly cleaned every day. They even provided firewood and a heater for the chilly nights. the staff were attentive, especially Alex, who served a delicious complimentary breakfast. Exploring the labeled tree and flower species in the garden was a joy, and the library had plenty of old world charm. This hotel is a gem with a great location, within walking distance to the main street and other parts of San Cristobal.

I had such a wonderful time at Na Bolom. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was in a different world. the compound is filled with cultural activities that truly immerse you in the local experience. I attended evening lectures, watched incredible weavers showcase their creations, and even got to see special exhibits by local artists. the collection of books in the library and Trudi's photos of the Lacandon Maya were fascinating. They even anticipated my daily needs, like providing extra firewood during the cold nights and delivering soup when I fell ill. the atmosphere, charm, and history of the place truly made it a luxury experience. the rooms were cozy and comfortable, with fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs. And the breakfast served in the beautiful courtyard was a great way to start the day. I highly recommend Na Bolom for a unique and enriching stay.
