I recently stayed at a charming hostel in a great location. The building had a lovely, older-home feel with rooms surrounding both a large and smaller courtyard. The staff, especially Brenda at the front desk, were excellent and friendly. The hostel is located on a quiet pedestrian street in the historic district, making it peaceful day and night. The secured entrance added an extra layer of security. Additionally, the free breakfast provided a great opportunity to meet other travelers. my experience at Casa San Ildefonso was delightful.

I had a fantastic stay at Casa San Ildefonso! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to assist me, even at early hours of the morning. The location was perfect, on a peaceful pedestrian street just steps away from Templo Mayor and the Zocalo square. The room was surprisingly spacious and cleaned daily. I loved the beautiful garden, lounge area, and dining room. The free breakfast was a nice touch, with fresh bread, jam, coffee, orange juice, cereal, and bananas. the place was well-maintained and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a great experience.

Conveniently located close to Constitution Plaza and National Palace. Friendly staff and secure building. Single room with shared bathroom is comfortable and noise level is low for a good night's sleep. Shopping and beautiful buildings within walking distance. Lovely courtyard with open air ceiling.

The courtyard was a great place to relax and enjoy a book. And the lime trees attracting hummingbirds was a delightful surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering recommendations for local restaurants and assisting with luggage. The room lacked wardrobe space, with only a metal locker to share between two people. The balcony doors could not be properly secured, as the locks were broken.
