The room was beautiful, with a high ceiling and stunning beams across. The open glass shower was a nice touch.

While we felt safe during the day, the area around the hotel could be a bit chaotic and may not be the best for a single woman at night. However, we had no issues during our stay.

My room, the Moctezuma room, was spacious and had two balconies. I loved the modern touches, like the glass cabins that housed the toilet and shower. The hotel also had a fantastic rooftop restaurant with delicious food, and the breakfast included fresh fruit, eggs, coffee, fresh juice. The staff at the hotel, especially Luis, Edgar, Rodolfo, Alejandro. As an architect who specializes in remodeling old buildings, I appreciate the effort put into preserving the hotel's history while making it comfortable for guests. We had a great stay at a centrally located hotel. the room was clean and spacious with beautiful French balconies overlooking the historic Santo de Domingo square. the recently refurbished interior gave a sense of luxury and the hotel felt secure and well lit. We enjoyed our time on the intimate rooftop and in the quaint sitting area off Calle de Cuba. the Zocalo, National Cathedral, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and Garibaldi Plaza were all within walking distance. Plus, Diego Rivera's stunning murals were just a short stroll away, and they were free to visit.

The room I booked had a separate bathroom, but I ended up with a ground floor room without windows. However, the staff was helpful and offered us an upgrade to a master room. The hotel is nicely decorated and the breakfast was great. I would recommend this hotel for its helpful staff and beautiful decor.
