Moreover, the hot water in the shower was consistently hot, allowing for a refreshing and enjoyable shower experience. Additionally, the hotel's location was convenient, being within walking distance to important landmarks and easily accessible by public transportation.

The food at the hotel was a disappointment. The pancakes were too eggy and lacked flavor, while the chicken dish I ordered was bland, with only melted cheese and grilled onions as toppings.

The Hotel Plaza Arteaga is a fantastic, comfortable new hotel. The 'blue' theme was a massive hit with the kids, both in the corridors and in the room. The showers also have colored LED lighting, which leads to much less complaining about said activity. Beds are super comfortable and massive. Price is right for the quality. Area is centrally located, ~15 minutes walk to Plaza Alameda and the market, ~30 to MARCO plaza, near the Metro that goes to all of those places and more. Good food options nearby as well as a couple of supermarkets including a 'Hyper' Soriana. Parking is secure and excellent, cars up to 2.5m high and maybe more will have no trouble.

Shady surroundings: the area surrounding the hotel was not the safest, especially at night, and was not suitable for families. Noise issues: There were loud and disruptive noises from neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
