During our stay at Villa Mercedes, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's charming character and attention to detail. The historic building has been beautifully renovated, showcasing a unique blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, providing us with a comfortable and luxurious stay.

We also enjoyed the tranquil pool area, which provided a refreshing escape from the heat. Although it was relatively small, the pool was clean and well-maintained, allowing us to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.

As women traveling alone, we felt very safe and secure at this hotel. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable, and the free parking in the middle of the city was a huge plus. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the air conditioning was silent, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel also had good internet connectivity, which was convenient for keeping in touch with loved ones.

The receptionists had limited command of the English language, which led to some communication issues. The corridor leading to the rooms had an unpleasant smell of sewerage, although the rooms themselves were odor-free.

The hotel is conveniently located near Paseo Montejo, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The staff was friendly and always ready to help. The restaurant at the hotel was amazing, offering delicious meals throughout the day. Another bonus was the proximity to the US consulate, car rental agencies, and currency exchange facilities. my stay at Villa Mercedes was comfortable and enjoyable.

Our room was incredibly spacious, and though it took a while for the AC to cool it down, we were able to manage thanks to the ceiling fan. The bed was comfortable, and we had a restful night's sleep. Despite a minor cleanliness issue, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory. The location was not ideal for tourists, but it was perfect for our business needs. The pool area, although small, provided a relaxing space for us to unwind. While the Wi-Fi connection was occasionally spotty, it was still usable for checking emails and messages. We had to pay an additional fee for Wi-Fi and breakfast, which was unexpected. However, considering the comfort of the bed and the cleanliness of the hotel, I would still highly recommend this property. our experience at this hotel was positive, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Lovely renovated period building on the edge of town. Short taxi ride to the old town center. High standard like Intercontinental. Great breakfast buffet, free WiFi, bus station in front, safe area, helpful staff. Nice room with big bed, good internet , easy to get to by taxi, free parking.
