Great location, helpful staff, lovely pool and grounds, free e-bikes , divine buffet breakfast.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, with beautiful views over the river and within walking distance to the most beautiful pagodas in the Bagan area. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a spacious and clean accommodation and an onsite spa. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of salads at breakfast. The staff were very nice and helpful, and they even helped us book a balloon trip at a cheaper price than online. We also took advantage of the bike rental service offered by the hotel, which made getting around this city a breeze.

Situated near stunning temples, the hotel boasts an authentic feel with charming bungalows and picturesque gardens. The riverside restaurant offers a diverse selection of local and Western cuisine with excellent service. The refreshing pool surrounded by palm trees is perfect for a day in the sun. A great value for money choice with friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is situated in a prime location along the scenic Irrawaddy River, allowing guests to enjoy breathtaking views of the river and the surrounding gardens. The bar and dining areas, tucked under shade trees, also offer a laid-back and peaceful atmosphere for guests to relax and unwind. The rooms are well-equipped with amenities and offer garden or river views. Breakfast with a riverside view is a perfect way to start the day.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Old Bagan, near the river, allowing for easy access to the main attractions. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing great service throughout our stay. The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of options and is a good start to the day. We were also impressed by the beautiful sunset view from the porch of our room, which added to the overall experience.

The hotel could use some renovations to refresh the rooms and bathrooms, as they appear outdated and basic.

The riverside location of Thande Hotel - Old is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the onsite restaurant, surrounded by 100-year-old Acacia Trees. The spacious rooms were clean and the staff provided excellent customer service. The hotel is conveniently located near the Bagan museum and airport. I would highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Bagan.

I had a superb stay in a peaceful and beautiful surrounding at Thande Hotel - Old. The staff went above and beyond to help me arrange all the activities I wanted to do during my stay. The sunset view every night was simply breathtaking. And the icing on the cake was the refreshing pool. Highly recommended.

I must say, the hotel could use some maintenance as the AC in my room was leaking water. However, it didn't bother me too much and didn't affect my overall experience.

loved my stay in old bagan at this hotel. the scooter rental made it easy to see all the temples and the staff were so friendly. breakfast was delicious and the sunset views over the river were stunning. highly recommend thande hotel - old!

I absolutely loved my stay at Thande Hotel - Old! The location is incredible, right by the river and surrounded by beautiful temples in Old Bagan. The hotel even offers e-scooter rentals, making it easy to explore the area. The rooms were spacious and the grounds were well-maintained. I especially enjoyed dining at the restaurant by the river, with its stunning views and delicious food. The pool was also a refreshing escape from the heat. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist.

I recently stayed at the Thande Hotel - Old in Bagan for a relaxing getaway. The housekeeping and restaurant staff were incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They even surprised me with a beautifully decorated bed using flower petals. The hotel grounds and gardens were lovely, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The Acacia restaurant, located on a terrace with stunning views of the river, was the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset. The location of the hotel was ideal, overlooking the Ayeyarwaddy river and within walking distance of the temples in Old Bagan.

The restaurant had amazing views of the river and the food was delicious. the staff was always willing to help with anything we needed, and the large bathroom was well-designed and modern. bikes and ebikes were readily available for rent, and the hotel’s location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area.

On the other hand, the hotel seemed to cater more towards older tour groups and families, so it wasn't the best fit for younger or solo travelers. the style of the hotel felt a bit outdated and could benefit from some modernization.
