The Chameleon Backpacker in Windhoek was a fantastic stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a central location made exploring the city a breeze. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of fresh fruits and juices. The common areas, including the pool, provided ample space to relax. Looking forward to returning one day.

the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. the atmosphere was perfect for backpackers with comfortable couches, good WiFi, and even a clean swimming pool to cool off in. the rooms were spacious and clean, with private bathrooms and all the necessary amenities. the location was also great, within easy walking distance to the city center. I especially loved the delicious breakfast they provided. it was like a small paradise and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel! the breakfast was amazing, with a concept of all you can eat. It was a great way to meet new people. Our room was spacious enough and had a bathroom with a good shower. the staff were extremely helpful and there was always someone available to assist us. the location was perfect and the staff provided lots of conveniences on-site, such as laundry services and travel/safari information. We also appreciated the free wifi and the hostel's commitment to water conservation and use of solar energy. it was one of the best value accommodations we've experienced.

The staff were helpful and recommended activities in the area. The location was ideal, just a 5-minute walk into town. We enjoyed the chill vibe at the bar and had no worries about security. It would be convenient if guests with cars were given a remote control to open and close the gate themselves, as it can be inconvenient to constantly ask the personnel for assistance.

The location of the hostel is excellent, with a short walking distance to a shopping center and other amenities. The spacious rooms, such as the Aardvark dorm, offer comfortable beds, lockers, and ensuite bathrooms with separate shower and toilet facilities. The staff is friendly and helpful, creating a positive and relaxed atmosphere. the outdoor bar and swimming pool area provide a nice spot to socialize and enjoy reasonably priced drinks.

The WiFi in some areas of the hostel can be slow and unreliable.

We had a great stay at this budget lodge with its convenient location and friendly atmosphere. The common kitchen and living room were perfect for mingling with other travelers and hearing their stories. Our room was lovely, with a nice balcony and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the bar on site and the excellent value for money. It was also a great base for exploring the city and the nearby grocery store was convenient for self-catering. we had a pleasant and enjoyable experience during our two-day stay.

I recently stayed at Chameleon Backpackers in Windhoek for 5 nights. The spacious and comfortable bedroom, convenient Monday's Braai, and welcoming ambiance were all highlights. It was easy to explore the main attractions of the city on foot, and the secure car park provided peace of mind. The good internet connection and the staff's willingness to help with our extra needs were also greatly appreciated. The hostel-hotel combination created a cozy atmosphere, with a bar, a small pool, and a fantastic outdoor kitchen for everyone to use. The value for money and the comfortable beds were the cherry on top. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel.

The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, offering free walking tours and providing excellent service. The location was convenient, with secured parking and a reasonable walking distance to the city center. The room was comfortable, and the included breakfast filled me up for the day. The facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and a variety of food options, added to the overall positive experience.

It would have been more convenient if there were charging points near the beds for easier access to power.

I had an amazing stay at this backpackers! From the moment I arrived, the friendly and helpful staff made me feel right at home. The hotel facilities were excellent, including a bar that sold alcohol and snacks, a swimming pool, and lots of seating areas both inside and outside. The continental breakfast included in the price was delicious and had a good variety of options. The location was convenient, with the city center within easy walking distance. Additionally, the hostel offered a free city walking tour, which was a great way to explore this vibrant city.

Additionally, the option to cook in the large kitchen was a great way to save money and have a meal just the way I liked it.
